Disassemble the FOB and look at the inside of it and the circuit board. A small amount of dirt in the wrong place can cause a drain. Also try setting it aside for two weeks. It may be getting pressed in your skinny jeans...

My bad..must have had dyslexia on my reply. Thought you meant key fob itself was draining the truck battery lol!! my bad

Good answer!! Don't think the skinny jeans crowd drive trucks, especially F150's. If they do hopefully they drive a Honda Ridgeline and not a one fiddy!

Back to the o.p....how are you sure your key is draining the battery, first i've ever heard of that?

I got a fob wet in a pool once. Chlorine and electricity create a real mess out of a circuit board.

Because every 2 weeks or so I have to replace the fob battery.

I have not done it on my wife's set.

I've been having the same problem. I have a 2013 XLT, and the key's first battery died about 4 months ago. Since then, it would go through a battery in less than a month. I switched to the other key I got when I bought the truck and it's been working properly for the past month or so. The one I was using does have quite a bit of dust around the edges, but I can't see most of the PC board to tell if there's anything causing a short there.
