Guess I won't be doing it this weekend... Failed to find the syringe with that flexible feeding tube or whatever. Went to Michael's, Home Depot, CVS, and Walgreens and only the last 2 had the syringes but no flexible tube thing. They're all 5 mins away so at least I didn't waste too much time. Guess I'll have to find it online.

I went to every one of em around me, they had syringes but no tubes. I should've just taken the syringe while I was there, but I guess I was in an all or nothing kind of mood. I didn't notice that it's sealed until I kept digging through the thread, so that makes me feel better knowing it won't drip inside and whatnot. Might just have to get a little bottle top squirt thing I saw at the craft store, that might fit.
The left hand side tail light is more difficult to get at on the side that meets the tailgate than the right side is. Now I see what ya'll are saying. I assumed each tail light would be symmetrical, but that assumption is apparently wrong. Don't know why it would be like that, but I've never designed a tail light so who am I to talk haha.

And remember seal them with a bead of rtv black silicone after!

I had removed some glue beforehand, but apparently not all of it. Some I couldn't even see on the tailgate side on the left hand light, which is the one that is tighter and harder to get to than the right hand one. I tested it with a clean brush beforehand and it got by, by the paint wouldn't so there was a small line of glue all the way down it I guess. The paint got stuck halfway down so I had to stick a hook tool into the channel and break it up. Wasn't expecting it to snap like it did so I got paint all over me haha.
Despite these issues and all the time it has taken, it looks like it's going to be worth it. I've managed to get the paint everywhere that it needs to be, so it's looking good! I'll post pics when I'm done. Thanks for the input everyone!

I picked up a small can of high gloss tremclad (the kind for all surfaces not just metal) already got the ugly chrome lights back in for now and once I have my wifes chores done I'll be attacking these black lights for sure! Got a small syringe and tube as well as small brushes. Shouldn't take too much work.
