Painted Edges on Taillights looks very clean and easy to do!

While not as noticeable of a difference as with the darker colors I still feel it was a worthy mod on my ingot silver. I certainly notice it, much cleaner.
Syringes and a needle are pretty much a must have to make things so much easier.
As someone else mentioned earlier, this is an all day mod, so budget the time to do it. Paint does not dry as fast and usually multiple coats are needed to get everything covered. I also RTV'd the gap around the lens.

The recommendation to use a syringe with a medium bore needle was spot on, I went back to my former firehouse to get a couple 5cc syringes and two 20ga needles, it made this job so much more thorough. Kudos to all who've contributed to this thread.

Love the way these look and hope to get them done on my Race Red soon, is the tail light removal a PITA or staraight up unbolting and unplugging from the tailgate area?
Is the sealant required when placing lights back on or is just an added feature to keep junk out? Thx

Just did this today. I went to the pharmacy and got a small plastic syringe - the kind they give out with medicine you give to babies. They also gave me a small length of flexible tubing to attach to the syringe. The tubing flattens and will actually fit into the small opening that everyone has mentioned is tough to get into.
Small syringe with flexible plastic tubing - free from my friendly neighborhood pharmacist!
I used water-based acrylic paint and didn't need to thin it out even to go through the tubing. All told, about a 3 hour project, with time for drying between the first and second coats.
Bought this at the local craft store. You could buy a smaller bottle, as I had tons left over.
The finished product!
And a final one to show off 2 mods in one shot - the taillight trim paint and the DeeZee Tailgate Assist, installed yesterday.

What do you guys think about using a metallic gray on my taillights(covering up the chrome) and black part of my badges? I thought about this because black on my pearly white sand dulls it up, but I can't leave stuff alone, and my 4x4 badge is a metallic gray
