So i finally got around to doing this. I waited because i wanted to find the right paint.
I decided to go with finesse pin stripe paint. I'm very experienced with it. I've painted numerous stripes on cars. And its a good thick enamel. 1 coat and boom done. Also it dries very fast. About 20 minutes for stripes. I waited an hour and a half for the tail lights because i was injecting paint in, and it would be thicker than a pin stripe obviously.
I used a west system syringe for 2 part epoxy. Worked very well. Here's the result.

Finally did mine. Used the model car paint - Faskolor - 1 bottle is plenty - & sealed with black RTV.
Looks good from 3 feet away and out - but close up in the sun, I can see "imperfections" where there was glue I didn't initially see or remove. Identifying & removing the glue is the hardest part. Using a syringe from Amazon made applying the paint a breeze.

Love this mod. I'm in the process of doing mine right now. I'm using Testors gloss black enamel. It isn't at thick as I'd like, but 4-5 solid coats fixes that. I've been working on them all day, but there wilk full coverage when it's said and done.

It Stinks in Here...
I would like to do this to my new FX tails, but can't decide what color to use. My truck is red candy. Im not sure if I should use red or go with black. What do you guys think?
