Default Rear Speakers play at minimum volume

2009 f150 platinum with Sony sound and navigation screen

I need help! First time installing a sound system in a car. I’m running a powered sub, and a 4 channel amp for four new door speakers. My two rear door speakers play music off of my phones volume (on bluetooth), and doesn’t change with the trucks volume ****, the subwoofer and front speakers both follow the trucks volume ****. Any advice with what I did wrong would be great! Thanks for the help

Are you completely bypassing the Sony amp?

So the front speakers bypass it and the rear don’t which is why I don’t get why the volume **** controls the front

So, if you got a 4 channel amp, why didn't you bypass for all of them? Did you tap into wires, or replace? It sounds like both your new amp and the original are getting signal or something.

I have a kicker 4 channel amp, input and output are both spliced into original speaker wire. I’m not good at this so ask me questions, but I think the problem is that the front ones are spliced before the factory Sony amp, whereas the back are spliced after the factory Sony amp. That just makes me confused why the front ones get volume control but the back don’t.

Yes, that is exactly it. I would say you should drop the splicing altogether. If you are going to the trouble of replacing the Sony amp, you should cut it out of the wiring entirely. That is a little tricky, because it is more than just an amp, it is also a processor of some sort and tied with the other computer parts of the audio system. I don't have this in my head, but there are paths to removal to do it properly.
