Default Pictures of new 3rd brake light gasket.

I have read many posts about the leaking 3rd brake lights. It seems they can be fine for quite a while, then just start leaking. Could someone post pictures of the new brake light assembly(especially the gasket) so that those of us that have not had the leak yet could compare to ours so we can get them replaced if needed before we have the leak?

Thanks

I just had mine replaced 2 days ago. I'll try to take some pics of it when I get home.

I am interested as well since i tried to order an extra gasket and was told there was none available. It looks like they would have a replacement gasket available if there are so many leaking.

I put an extra layer of 3/16" foam around the seal to create a tighter fit, but would still like to see the "improved" gasket.

My dealer replaced the gasket and caulked it - no more leak.

I was going to caulk mine too, untill i took the light off and realized that if any of the bulbs burn out...you kind of have to remove the light assembly again. So i opted for making an additional thicker gasket

Sorry I haven't gotten the pics up. I got home from work and was immediately swamped with stuff to do. I never had a chance to take the pics. I was off today, but it has been raining all day. I guess a positive note is that I checked my truck multiple times today and there has been 0 water inside with the new 3rd brake light.

I'll try today. It rained all damn weekend, so I wasn't going to take my expensive camera out in the rain for pics. No water in my cab though.
