I'm assuming that, like anything these days, that is 'plated' plastic? If so, it makes one long for the days of heavy metal and REAL chrome plating, doesn't it?

I looked that those pics forever untili saw the scrathes on the last pic. i know, i know, the first scratch/ding always hurts the most. They especially hurt when YOU are the direct cause of them. When i was younger i ran my bag of golf clubs into the side of my mothers brand new one week old black bmw. My tail still hurts.

That stinks. I feel your pain. Every week I wash and dread finding the big oops. Still have sand from OBX that I can't get out! Keeps finding its way onto the carpet even after we clean it.

2600 miles and my grill did the same thing, the dealership told me its a rock bruise. im pretty upset too. its like the chrome is just flaking off. And they told me nothing they can do.

I did something bad to my new rig. My own fault.
Used a hose to squirt water on the top while in the bed. Hose went up and down the outside and smeared the paint about 3 inches long and 1/4" wide. It was just the "rubber" part too.
I didn't think the paint was that fragile.

Have a similar issue, just found a crack in my bumper after a wash. Truck is three weeks old. Admired it after a wash and was like what the !@#$%^!!! found today Sept 1st. Never noticed before, but went back to see some pics I've been taking since new and think I can see it in pics from 2 days after purchase and again 12 days after purchase.

The OBX killed my last truck. That sand gets everywhere. My mechanic (while he was replacing the transmission) told me the floor of his shop was covered in sand. Ill never go on the beach again unless its a rental Jeep.
