Default paint bubbling on my truck

I have a 2014 F150 screw that I purchased new in Oct. of 2014. I was in standing in the box yesterday and noticed that I have probably 20 spots on the right side of my roof that are bubbling/blistering up. Looks like something going on beneath the paint. I can push them lightly with my finger nail and move them. They are all in line on the passenger side in the groove (rain rail?) part of the roof. Would something like this be covered under warranty? It will definitely need to be addressed at some point. I just rolled over 36k miles but did add a Ford ESP.

I would bring it in, sound defective. Had some paint on my door flake off like the primer did not adhere correctly. Ford is repainting under warranty was easy to get approved.

When I was at Ford, the esp wouldn't cover something like that. Which would be considered cosmetic by Ford. Under 36k, it was covered no problem.

Thats just my luck. Just rolled over 36k last week. I'm sure the flaw has been there a while. I don't inspect my roof very often. Would have been noticed earlier in any other location. Hopefully Ford will take that into consideration.

You might get lucky. Won't hurt to try. I had to replace a chrome grille for a "defect" once under warranty. It was an obvious rock chip, and shouldn't have been covered. But the customer convinced my manager

I brought the truck into the dealer this morning. Ford agreed to take care of the problem. Not sure what caused it but something didn't bond correctly. May have been like this since shortly after purchase. I'm a pretty compulsive person but I don't spend much time looking at the roof of my truck! I'm just glad I caught this when I did. Now hoping the body shop does a nice job matching/blending. I thought they would paint just this little area but dealer seemed to think it would be the whole roof.

They said they would give me a vehicle to borrow for the duration. I mentioned that I would like a truck as I'm building and need the cargo hauling ability. Not to start a 5.0 vs ECO debate but I think I will see if I can't get into an ECO for the week as a comparison. I have been hauling some reasonably heavy loads up some big hills with my truck recently. Car trailer with 5k pound tractor and 25 foot pontoon boat this weekend. I was very impressed with how my truck hauls these loads compared to my previous 2006 5.4. I assume the ECO will be better yet. I will report back if I'm able to get a hold of one!
