Owners of 2013-2014 F150, what major issues have yall had?
Good afternoon,
I may have to upgrade my 2005 F150 to something newer.
I was wondering if 2013-2014 F150 owners have experienced any really bad issues?
Particularly with major engine components & transmissions going out, even after doing proper periodic maintenance.
My 2005 F150 has a V8 5.4L and I know for sure the bad design of the timing components is going to catch up soon. It's near 220k miles. I don't have the confidence nor time to change it myself, plus I've read that the same problem will come back.
I live in SE Texas so I don't have snow, only extreme heat & heavy rains (even then, I avoid high water).
I normally use my truck for commuting, hauling equipment, and pulling trailers on occasion for work and church. The only off-roading I do is at the beach when fishing and woods when hunting.
I saw this on AutoTrader and was wondering what yall think?
Is it worth getting it?

Well, when I had a 2013 Lariat green gem, straight men kept coming up to me to tell me I had a pretty truck. Switched to FX4 blue flame after a crash, issue went away.

XL forever!
Bought my 13 in late 2012.
Had to have the door speakers replaced. Other than having Sync downloads nothing else.
Trucks been great!

Purchased mine new 1/13.
Leaking pinion seal, sunroof drain leak into cab passengers side, passenger side door speaker failure, sunroof track failure, IWE issues rearing their ugly head this week at 33,600 miles.
Love the truck, nagging issues not so much. My use is basically as you described. Mainly commuter, tow a 4500lb boat 10 -15 times this summer. Short trips 10mi. avg.

I just purchased a loaded '13 FX4 CCLB, 47,545 miles on it. It has a slight vibration and along with the sound it makes, it sounds like a wheel bearing needs to be replaced. No biggie, plus it's under warranty. Squeaky brakes, may need new pads, (prob been sitting for some time too). Also a small chip in windshield. Other than that I guess we'll see. After buying this truck I'm now a broke college student, so I hope nothing major happens!!

I bought my 13 5.0 with only 10k on it in April of 2016 and have put 25k miles on it in 9 months I've also taken her to the track a few times and have wrenched on it myself for a few aftermarket parts. So far so good. I had a A/C resistor go out recently that cost $20 and 11 minutes to fix. My transmission shifts kind of hard from 6th to 4th which is a recent issue, but I do have my truck tuned so that could be the culprit.

1st owner and 0 problems other than an occasional barn yard manure smell from the a/c, nothing a little Lysol won't cure.
