Opinions on Nitto Crosstek vs Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10
Hello all, first post. I have been researching between these two tires (Nitto Crosstek vs Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10), some of it on this forum. I am looking for opinions and owners impressions on these two tires.
Currently these two tires are available for just about the same price (NTB vs Discount Tire), maybe $50 or so difference so the price is spot on. I do realize that these are two different animals, an HT vs ATM, one made in USA (Bonus Points) one in Korea.
I do mostly highway driving with very little off road. I live in Missouri so Snow and Ice are factors in the winter.
These will be going on my 2011 FX4 SuperCrew.
Any input to help my decision would be greatly appreciated.

I have the crossteck's and I like them a lot. If you dont get in stupid trouble they can get you out and they are quiet.I run 275/65/20 E with a 2.5" in front and 2" aal in back. I get about 1mpg better than I did with the stock 275/55/20. If you do go to a bigger tire remember the miles traveled will be about 6.9% between the to sizes will be off. So will you speedo, until you hit around 60. It seems ford advances the speedo a bit so when you are going around 65 your speedo says 62.

Keepin' the lights on!
I've been running the hankooks on my 4runner for the last 50k miles. They are worn a little past half way. They have been pretty good in all conditions. We see a fair amount of snow and ice and they do good. I'd probably buy them again especially for the price I paid for these. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much life from them but they just keep lasting. They are just now getting a little louder.

Although I like the Nitto's (especially being made in the US), I did not like NTB when I went to look at them. They were overly pushy and when I made it clear that I wasn't buying today they wanted nothing to do with me anymore, I was just a nusense to them, where the guy at Discount Tire was extremely pleasant to talk with. The guy even took me out to the garage and up where they store the tires just to show me the tread.
I am leaning towards the Hankooks for Discount Tires service alone. I wish the Crossteks weren't an NTB exclusive.

Actually they aren't exclusive to NTB. They are also carried at Big O Tire Stores. I just ordered a set of 275 65 20s from them and will be putting them on a new set of black KMC Slides (KM651). I have had the Crossteks before and really liked them. They are quiet and last a long time. I was able to drive through an 18" snow in spite of the fact that they were on a Chevy Silverado
One other thing I have noticed about the Crossteks is they must use a darker rubber compound. They seem blacker and not as gray as most other tires.

Pep Boy's carries the Falken All Terrain for about $195 each.
