When I first got my truck, I changed the oil at %58 life remaining. It is now at %43. Mind ya- this is with the Amsoil in it........

I've also noticed my that valve pan cover bolts are very rusted...worse than what the other thread showed...same as my engine manifold bolts....and well, the manifolds too

Maybe I'll check with my good ol' dealer to see if they'll cover those...that's probably normal as is the oil consumption and drive train shake

Sorry for your lack of having a good dealership to go to...

The oil leak *may* be the cause of the catalyst problem. If you have excessive blow-by, it may be ruining your cats.

My suggestion is to find a better dealership - one that cares and has a real "mechanic" (not a "tech" ["parts replacer"]).

And yes, as mentioned, update your signature with pertinent information. It will help YOU.
