Default Off the Beaten Path

Well today I decided to get off the pavement for a little bit. Nothing crazy, just drove around a lake that is drying up.

Kept it in 2wd...for the most part. I accidently found a spot that wasn't so dry. Thank god for 4wd. Probably should look into a leveling kit and some beefier tires.

The truck also got its first West Texas Pinstripes while I was out.

Benny, the bumper was $950 installed. Painting it was another $380 (done before it was installed).

West Texas Pinstripe is what happens when you drive too close to mesquite trees. They have thorns all over them, so they leave shallow scratches in the side (can only really see them at the right angle).

But you do that too many times and it becomes very noticeable.

This can happen eventually,

But most of that is dirt though.
