I haven't messed with anymore. I've been studying for the GRE this coming weekend.

It finally warmed up enough for me to get started on this mod. I worked on modifying the fog light housings yesterday and made some good progress.
I basically took some new OEM housings and started the mod. I eye-balled a rough angle for the lights and drew a few lines to get going. Once I made an initial cut, I was able to start refining the angles.

Since these lights are a little smaller diameter, I had to find a good way to cover the large hole and give the lights a round look. I decided to use fiberglass.

This is what I ended up with. This week I will be making some metal brackets to attach to the OEM housings. I already have them roughed out but need to refine the angles and drill the bolt holes.
Once I've finished that, I will be ready for a test fit and any final adjustments. I will paint the fiberglass and housings to make them look OEM.

Hope to have this finished soon. I will keep everyone updated on my progress.

Those look great can't wait to see finished pics so I can get an idea for mine cause those seem to be easier than a retrofit

I haven't started mine yet. One day it's 89 degrees and the next it's snowing and in the 20's.

Thanks! I haven't been able to get a good comparison yet. Once I finish the fabrication I will try to get a good photo of the BMW vs stock and post the results. The BMW lights have a very thin, wide beam (plus it's a 5k light) so the difference should be pretty dramatic.
The wife is out of town and we have a 2 yr old, so I have to wait for her to get home before I can dedicate a lot of time to finish.

Looks like a great mod. I think I will look for a black sheet of HDPE instaed of fiberglass though. Does the LED light burn cooler than the factory fog? I like tint on my lights but the factory is too hot for my lamin-x smoke lense covers.
