The American looks just like my Lund, i wouldnt like the handles that are on yours since it looks like you have to screw/unscrew them to unhook the clamps.

The back clamps on the American are quick release. The front ones are a slight pain when you go to remove. Wish all four were quick release. Too lazy to try and find replacements for the front. Don't take it off too often.

When going down the highway it looks like it is taking a beating in the rear view mirror, nothing but the vinyl fabric stretched over the frame. But it has lasted almost 3 years with no issues. I just wanted to keep out rain and keep little stuff from blowing out. Works for that. I like the hard covers but $$$$.

So I moved it back to about halfway between the original position and the new one. It seemed more secure that way.

Still, the hump remains. I think the tension of the cover is stopping that double-jointed hinge from going completely flat. Not sure what we can do about that other than add a third clamp bar.

So:

1: somehow adjust for the higher front of cover due to Bed Liner (solves lifted front corners)
2: better quality and more clamps (Solves hump)

Not that I expect them to listen, they're probably just fine with the money rolling in and the good reviews they have somehow come by. Maybe the 5.5 bed version of this is better than mine?
I talked to autoanything and tonnopro today. Long story short i'm sending it back.

Now back to square one...

I hate that it didn't work for you. Love mine but it seems quality may be a bit hit or miss.

Good luck Blue. That Lund may be worth a look. Wish mine had 4 quick releases. I like the looks of the hard flip covers, but went cheap. Guess I got lucky. Hope you get a good one.

Just want to put this thread to bed.

I shipped out my cover, not in the original box, last Monday. I received a new one from Tonnopro Friday.

It fits better, it looks better and they even included another free roll or weather stripping and cleaner.

Must of just had bad luck with the first one.

Thank you AutoAnything and Tonnopro for helping right the wrong.

Oh... interesting! Did they send the same cover? What makes it fit better, can you tell us? I got mine via Costco so I can return it whenever I want but for the most part it's just cosmetic and I hold my nose when I walk by it. ;-)
