Default No "Trailer Connected" message after connecting my camper!

Hello and thanks in advance for your time...here are the details: I own a 2010 FX4 SuperCrew and added the OEM TBC module and it was activated by the dealership...I have towed with it several times and it functions 100% but the message center has never once displayed "Trailer Connected"...the display skips the message and shows the gain/output...I thought it was possibly just my camper, but I connected my truck to friend's camper and the same deal, it operated the electric brakes and displayed the gain/output but no "Trailer Connected" message...the display does show "Trailer Disconnected" after I unplug the camper...I hate going to the dealership...any suggestions????

sounds like it's working properly. As long as when the trailer's connected, and you adjust the gain, you don't get 'trailer disconnected' then it's working just like mine.

Yup, same as mine. No "trailer connected" message, it just shows the gain, etc...sounds like it is working fine.

I haven't had an opportunity to test it yet, but the owner's manual seems to state there should be a Trailer Connected status. Perhaps this is only a temporary message?
Page 264 of the manual:
TRAILER CONNECTED: This message is displayed when a correct
trailer wiring connection (a trailer with electric trailer brakes) has
been sensed during a given ignition cycle.

Thanks everyone for your input...it sounds like I am good to go as other 2010 owners do not get the message, but it is odd that the manual states a "TRAILER CONNECTED" message should be displayed...that's what initiated this post...maybe the manual is incorrect???

With your trailer connected if you go to the option on the message center where it says push and hold for menu (or whatever the actual saying is) and then step through the list, it will show the "trailer connected" message... or disconnected with no trailer hooked up.

Not with my 2009 and either of my trailers. I just hooked em both up to double-check.

I just get the TBC gain setting if the trailer is connected. I get a TRAILER DISCONNECTED message with no trailer.
