Air freshner and tire dressing.........what's your favorite?
i recently purchased a ford van which needs a good air freshner. not just a perfume, i need something more effective. any suggestions?
the second is tire dressing. what's the best? at the car wash, they put on some stuff and it splattered like crazy all over the front and rear fenders............never again will i let them do that. i had the aforementioned van detailed and they put some good stuff on there. it makes the tire look brand new but is dry and doesn't sling crp all over my fenders. what's the good stuff to buy?

air freshner- i would use febreze original if it stinks bad ..just soak it down real good everyday, after about two weeks it will take the smell out of the fabric ....well it did in a truck i bought, the people smoked in it ..then u can use whatever smell u prefer....as far as the tires go ..at one time they made some stuff that u sprayed on and it dries into a clear wet look..they sell it at walmart...

The ozone machines work great. My old boss had one for his ford dealership and he used it many times on verhicles that were traded in. It also works great for carpets. My parents had a cat that went to the bathroom all the time on an oriental carpet. She had the carpet cleaned several times and the smell still didn't come out. So the put the ozone machine in the room with the carpet and let it run for a few hours. The smell is now gone and so is the cat by other means.
Definitely look into finding someone with a ozone machine. Some dealers have them.

i had the van detailed. prior it had been smoked in. for the most part, they eliminated the smoke smell. now, i just want to sweeten the air just a bit.

Optimum Opti-Bond for the tires. I put it on 2 weeks ago and they still look great. It's a gel and you wipe it on with a sponge and you can wipe it down for less shine. It also protects your tire unless most tire shine that causes cracking in hot weather. Buy it and you will thank me later. Works great on all the plastic and bed rails too.
