Default No air blowing through vents

I own a 2009 F150 5.4L and this afternoon the blower motor stopped pushing air through the vents. It does not work on any setting. I checked the easy stuff, like the relays and the fuses for the blower motor. None of them are damaged. I swapped the relay with another one and it's not the problem either.

I did pull the resistor but other than physical damage (which it does not have) I don't know how to test it. Any ideas or suggestions for else I can check would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Did you ever figure out what the problem was? I have the same problem but my blower works one day and not the other. It is not the fuse. Could it be a Blower Motor Resistor?

Try smacking the bottom of the blower motor with your palm, if it starts working you need a blower motor.

I just ran into the same problem. I tested the resistor with a multimeter and was getting really weird values so I just ordered one up. Should be in Wednesday hopefully. I'll give an update once it comes in.

Question for Hotcat; is the blower motor the square box right behind the glove box? Or is it tucked up under something in a very difficult to reach spot?

Mine was only working on high setting a few weeks back. It ended up being the blower motor resistor.

So tonight I decided to just plug in my current resistor that I thought was broken (since my new one hasn't showed up yet) and it works. Obviously don't know how long it will work for, but at least for now unplugging and plugging back in seems to have done the trick

For future reference, where is the resistor located and how hard to get out?

The blower is mounted under the case just above the passengers foot area. It's about 6" round. Usually when some speeds don't work it's a failed resistor/blower controller, when it's completely inop it's most likely the blower motor.

Also inspect the connector pins to the resistor and blower for heat damage.
