Default Nitto TG owners...

What are you guys running for PSI? I just purchased my new setup (20x9 Fuel Mavericks & 275/60/20 Terra Grapplers) about a week ago and just started to noticed how squishy the front two tires look. Discount Tire said 35 psi is what's recommended. Seems kinda low...

That is a P rated tire and should run 44 psi max. 35 to 36 psi should be correct for daily driving.

Max PSI that is listed on the sidewall is 35psi.

I looked on Nitto's site for the specs and they do show 2,601 lbs @35 psi. I have the same tire size but a Toyo and they show 44 psi max on the sidewall and 2,601 @35 psi also on the spec sheet. Hmmmm!

Wow, I was going to call BS on the sidewall statement, but I just took this off the Nitto site:

http://www.nittotire.com/Tire/Grappl...agrappler#size

2601lbs @ 35psi

EDIT: Sorry PawPaw...timing was right on.

How about running them around 40 psi? Any adverse affects?

I'd try 38 psi (cold) first and see how they look and ride. I had great result's running that pressure in my P275x60x20 Toyo AT2's that were on my '11 Lariat. I liked the tires so much I just bought another set for my '13. I'm running about 36-37 psi now. Get a good quality digital pressure gauge also and always try to get a constant cold reading after the tires have cooled off. Remember tire pressures will increase after running on hot highways ...maybe 2 to 3 psi.

This can wear out the center's of the tire and cause a rougher ride...just experiment with the tire pressure untill you find the sweet spot!

I'm running the 275/65r20's on my truck (E rated tires, 10 ply) ... 80 PSI max. I have them at 50 PSI right now, and the ride is a LITTLE stiff. I'm just a tad concerned about running them at 40-45 and having them wear on the edges too quickly.

I only have about 1800 miles on them so far, and they appear to be wearing perfectly at 50 PSI ... which is what keeps me from changing the pressure so far.

Can anyone with long-term use of the 10 ply TG's comment on tire wear over time? I very rarely have a load in my truck bed that requires any increase in tire pressure, so I'm truly interested in seeing if running them at about 42-44 PSI is ok. I know it would make the ride more comfy, which would be nice.
