Ok, birthday coming up and the boss has given the green light for a small mod. I am thinking of something practical and useful. The 2 options I have come up with are a bull bar and tri-fold tonneau cover. As far as the bull bar goes, I visit my family ranch that has bump gates and I'd rather not use my bumper so thats a plus for the bull bar. The tonneau has tons of practical uses too. I'm thinking that the cover is going to be about $100 more than the bull bar. Any opinions?

Bull bars are the single most hideous thing people attach to their trucks.

Go with the bed cover.

+1 for the Tonneau cover. Bull bars dont look that bad on certain trucks, bush guards however...

Tonno. The first time you have something in your bed you don't want to get wet and it rains you'll be sorry you didn't get one.

Definitely the cover. While the bull bar seems like it could be useful as described, it is often more likely that they cause more damage to your vehicle. They actually aren't very strong and are more for looks or to add a couple lights.

Tonneau cover. It is a lot more practical than a bull bar..

You'll definitely get more use out of the cover.
