Default New Vehicle Order Problems

I ordered a 2010 F150 Lariat on Oct 12. The dealer put the order in on Oct 15. It is now Dec 8. The dealer still did not get a build date. I called Ford Customer service and they checked the order status (it was a code UNSCH/CLEAN) which they said means the factory received the order and is awaiting being put into the system. (They looked up the info through the VEHICLE ORDER BANK)

That was no help!

Anyone have any ideas as to where I can call or what I should do to find out what is going on with the order? I would just like to know why it is taking so long.

What time frame did the dealer give you for dilivery? I don't think two months is overly long to wait for a new truck.

I ordered my truck on Oct 25th and the dealer said it would be 6-8 weeks. They built it on Nov 9th and I got it on Nov 26th. Built in Dearborn and delivered to Southern Alberta.

My timeframe was almost identical to wikkkee's. Was also told 6-8 weeks, had it in about 4.

The dealer said 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. I agree that 6 to 8 weeks is not unreasonable, BUT The truck is not even scheduled to be built at the plant. (It's like it is on hold. Then after it is built, it will take a min. of 10 days to 2 weeks for delivery.

From what I am hearing, it has something to do with the Screw plant or line.

I ordered my 2010 F150 SCrew 157" Lariat on NOV 18 and dealer said he has an allocation for a truck so it will be picked up immediately and I could see it before X-Mas. He called yesterday and I was also told the truck was still unscheduled. I don't think I'm gonna see it before X-Mas!!!

I am also curious as to what the holdup may be.

Truck being built at Dearborn Truck Plant BTW.

Odd, I also ordered a 2010 screw 4X4 lariat on 10/10/09. The order was placed on 10/12/09 and delivered on 11/14/09 5 weeks later. It was built at Dearborn. If your order was placed in Oct it should have been delivered by now.

Turbo... Here is a number you can call to find out if it is scheduled. You need the following: dealer's sales code, body style code, and order number. I got it off of the worksheet my dealer gave me.

You are right, I don't think we will get them before christmas. I hope to get it before the tax incentive is up.

Also, I think it is strange that someone can order and get theirs in 4 weeks and others are not even scheduled in 8 weeks.
