I just put Toyo Open Country H/Ts on my mom's CR-V just like I did her old Acura MDX, had four sets of Open Country A/Ts on three different Jeep Grand Cherokees, and had Open Country A/T IIs on my King Ranch. I guess you could say I'm a fan of them. the mileage I got out of them was nothing short of ridiculous. I can't wait to see how these perform, but I have no doubt they'll exceed expectations across the board.

A friend of mine works for America's Tire and i've been bugging him to get me set when they come in. Eager to see what these look like in person.

On craig's list I bought my wheel and tire set up for $800. used 18x9s with 285/60 Toyo AT tires with 10k on them. any fluctuation in air pressure over 2 years has been by my hand as these tires hold air like I never seen in New England weather. I am not crazy about the AT2's "softer" look tread design but this R/T might be interesting when the time comes.

Wow.....looks like Toyo stole the key to the US Patent office & robbed the design for the Goodyear Duratracs.....lol

However I would probably consider it a step below the TerraGrappler.

Agreed. I'd say the new Toyo R/T (albeit maybe slightly less aggressive) is comparable to the Nitto Trail Grappler. I can't wait to see the pricing.

Agreed. Toyo owns Nitto so they just diversified there tire lineup between both the brands.

Smart move!

The r/t looks like a winner. Hopefully it isn't as obnoxious on the highway as the m/t is.

it's a shame the Nitto Exo Grappler has such a timid looking profile ... They could have at least alternated every other outer lug being larger/wider to give the tire a more aggressive look and help dig into muddy/dirty conditions. Instead, it looks like it's got a narrow tread pattern for the overall width of the tire ...

That said, the Toyo OC R/T looks awesome.
