Default backup camera stays on even when vehicle is off

I installed my back up camera and I'm using Add-A-Fuse to power the camera from a fuse in my passenger side fuse box. The problem I have is that it doesnt matter which fuse slot I use the camera stays on even when the key is off, which would indicate all the fuses are hot all the time. Any help with this would be great.

You actually TRIED all the fuses?

How about just grabbing a test light or multi-meter and checking the fuses?

Default Fuse 37

I have a 2012 F150 Screw with ecoboost.

I finally found that fuse 37 is hot only when the vehicle is running. I thought the back up light fuse would be hot only when in reverse but it's not.

The reverse light FUSE will be hot all the time. It send power to the neutral safety switch. The switch determines when the reverse lights are lit. It's connected to your shifter. The switch that is.

Not the backup fuse, the wire at the tail light or the trailer harness

Default Power

I can't pull power off the rear back up lights because my camera is from a company called rear view safety. The system has a small non weather proof modular on troll box that the camera, monitor and power plugs into. This box must be mounted within 8 ft of the monitor and in a weather proof area . iE the inside of the cab. I currently have it powered from fuse 37 and it only powers up when the key is on, but stays on. My solution is to just turn off the monitor when I'm driving forward .

How much current is this box that powers everything pulling? If not much, why not just run that power cable back to your reverse lights. That way everything is powered from the reverse lights. Your box is still mounted in your cab, but powered from the reverse light...
