You didn't say if you made sure it was closed.

Yes it is as completely closed as far as it goes with the button. The power slider works fine, just not defrost. I usually never open it anyway.

Mine did the same but the dealer took care of everything under warranty as I'm sure they will take care of you. They replaced the control module as well as the complete rear window. Now I'm good to go

Anyone have an idea what this would cost to fix if it were NOT covered by warranty? Like mine.

Mine is doing the same thing. Back in March it started to fail, tried to use it the other night to get the dew off of my window and wouldn't turn on at all but I think my side mirrors worked because the dew cleared off of them. I'm going to check the contacts as suggested but I will still make an appointment with the dealership.

I just had my rear slider replaced on Monday. I had the same issue where it would turn on at times. Working great so far! My dealer, Shult's Ford in Wexford, PA even gave me a loaner for the day. Great service department!!

I understand that the price of the window is around $480 or so.

Mine is going in thursday. Hope it is a simple fix, but it needs to be fixed under the warranty. I am only at 30k miles, almost expired on warranty.
