Sync texting issues on 2013 FX4
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 paired to my truck, upon initial installation everything worked fine (I could listen to my text messages). The next day when trying to listen to text messages, I got this error message, "the currently connected phone does not support text messaging via Bluetooth." According to all reference material i can find, using the S3 and AT&T provider, text messaging SHOULD work....... Has this happened to anyone else? Any idea how to fix it?

It can happen from time to time. Generally deleting it from the truck and deleting it from the phone and then going through the pairing process again, will fix it.
Make sure while you are doing the pairing process that you give Sync permission and give access to everything as well. It usually prompts for permission to access your calls and phonebook and then again for your text messaging as well.

This just started happening to me as well after I updated sync to whatever the latest version is that came out a month or two ago. Pain in the ****! I just deleted the phone from sync and the truck from my iPhone and re-paired and it is back to working again. We will see for how long....

Before deleting your phone from the system, soft reset it by removing the battery for 30 seconds. If that doesn't work, delete and repair.
Please let me know what happens.

I'll try it when I head home. I've had the truck since April but just got upgraded from the S2 to the S3 and just got the messaging working last week to the extent it is. Had to turn on mapping and stuff in settings from a post I found on one of the forums.

Also, be sure to hit the check box on the phone's pop up to allow the access every time, not just one time...

Does your vehicle have a standard SYNC radio, a navigation system, or MyFord Touch?
