New (to me) 2014 F-150 Lariat v8 - Lighting Questions
Hi all, I picked up a 2014 F-150 Lariat 5L v8 last week and really like it so far. I have been doing a lot of research and already unlocked my factory nav fia Forscan, I'm just waiting on the SD card to arrive in the mail. I may pick up a Lockpick and wire up some more cameras, too.
I'm looking to upgrade all of the interior lights to LED bulbs and the headlights / fog lights to HID's (since it seems as though LED headlights aren't the best solution?). I already installed LED reverse lights.
I have a few questions. For the interior lights, are CAN Bus bulbs required? I basically plan on getting all the bulbs from superbrightleds.com (or Amazon if possible) but they give an option for CAN Bus or 'regular'. I saw in another thread someone purchased these lights for their puddle lights, thoughts? I don't mind ripping them apart to replace the bulb.
As far as headlights and fog lights, what do you all recommend? These LED headlights from F150Leds look nice but I don't want to a bad light pattern and to blind people. I have 4300 HID's on my Mustang and am happy with that temperature, but I would like to hear some recommendations on specific kits. I have been looking at the Kensun Bi-Xenon 4300 Kit on Amazon which seems pretty popular. I would prefer LED headlights and fogs if possible, but I have read about the bulbs being too large for the housings, irregular light patterns, etc.
Anyone want to help a newb see better at night?
Thanks.

I run led's in both headlights and fog lights and have no issues whats so ever. You will get people on here that say that the light isn't better your just fooled by the blueish tint. I have aftermarket tinted HD lights on my 2014 STX sport and my lights are way brighter than my untinted headlights with Sylvania silverstars zxe. And no one has ever flashed me since the swap. I'm also running cheap ebay led bulbs for them that can be rotated to get the best possible beam.

As for the Fogs I put in Hoen Xenon Match H10 bulbs in mine http://www.hoen-usa.com/fog.htm.
Fog Light are just that, fog lights a super bright build defeats their purpose and blinds oncoming traffic as well as reflecting back at you.

Only Pic I have is during the Day, they do match the coloring of the HID and the H10 bulb is 42W VS the stock 40W so IMO you do not loose any brightness from the Blue tinted bulb.
Also the Same style in my Mustang

Use Google translate on this page - https://www.drive2.ru/l/10018006/ - it will be hard to follow and the screen shots are in Russian, but just take your time. It's easy to do, I did it with this cheap OBDII scanner and my laptop - http://amzn.to/2mAaR3h. You will need extended license of Forscan, too.
As far as headlights, I'm leaning toward the LED headlight and fog light kit from 4x4truckleds.com - http://www.4x4truckleds.com/xhp50-se...ord-f-150-h13/ however I was hoping for something whiter than 6500K. I prefer 4300 - 5000K.

Hey Lariat just saw your post. I was actually going to recommend our XHP series but by now you probably have them installed.
Post some photos up for others to see. Your 2014 has pretty bad housings so you won't get results like a 2015, but a definite improvement over stock, that's for sure.
Our LED replacement line is due out in a week or two btw.
