Default Possible bad O2 sensor and livewire from SCT

Hi.
This weekend i made like 330 miles trip, first I fill my truck with gas in Houston like a week before the trip, so i was going south Texas then i opted to stop at Bucces gas station (Luling texas) and fill up my truck with 87 oct, then continue with my trip to Eagle Pass Tx, but after the fill up in Bucces i notice that transmission was downshift very often and having problems staying in 6th gear at 73 using cruise control, so i opted to turn off cruise control and just press the pedal, so like aprox 200 miles later i arrive to Eagle Pass and again refill gas and this time notice that my MPG was low like 12 only, well as soon as i turn on the truck the check engine light came on, according to my livewire device it was code P0130 (O2 bank 1, sensor1). it was very late like 11Pm and i ahve to continue my trip and cross border to go to Mexico side, so i just opted to turn off the check engine with my livewire device, truck was driving ok.
When it was time to came back to Houston, the light never came back on at any time, and i refill gas at the same places and my MPG came back to 15 so now it is ok.
questions:
1) if the check engine light is on for any reason, and it gets turn off by a tuner device, will the light came back if the problem persist?
2) Can the Livewire check the voltage out of the O2 sensor to see if it is running lean or rich?
My truck has the 5.4 L and is using custom tunes from 5 star using Livewire.
Should i replace the O2? like i said , the check engine light never came back since then, also my MPG is ok now and truck is driving normal.
It was maybe bad gas that i picked up at bucces that day?
Thanks
