Default New to Exhausts

I am looking for an exhaust for a 2011 F150 XLT 5.0 V8. I am only looking for a muffler since that is about all I can afford. I would like something that is not extreemly loud, but that is noticable when you put the pedal down. I was looking at flowmaster and was thinking around the 40 series, but I wasnt sure what the difference was between the two chamber and three chamber mufflers. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

The two chamber should have a better and deeper sound. The three chamber will be the quiter of the two.

The 40 series is perfectly balanced. At low rpm it's on the quieter side, and when you stomp on it, it really wakes you up.

How loud do you want it? The 3 chamber will still be louder, but not as much as the 2 chamber.

What I want to do is just replace the muffler and keep the same tailpipe if at all possible. The truck has a chrome package so it has a decent chrome tip. Just for replacing the muffler do I just cut the old one off and have the new one welded in place of the stock one?

The way that people describe the noise, I will probobly be interested in getting a 40 series 2 chamber.

Well for those that are interested, I ended up going with an off brand that they said was just as good. Its called Xlerator VX Series. They were only $55. I am very satisfied with it and it sounds great.
