Default Tires For STX

I'm looking for a new set of tires for my truck. I have the stock SRA's on them and got 10,500 miles out of them and they are down to 4/32 (headed into winter...). I have read a lot of mixed reviews on tires on here and thought I would as one more time what your favorites are. Looking to keep stock 18's. I am looking for something quiet with no off road needed.

My dealer recommended the Firestone Destination le2. Anyone have these and what do you think?

I have seen a lot of talk about Discoverer A/T3 and the DuraTracs. Which are better?

I am very disappointed in the stock Wranglers and don't know whether I would buy another set of Goodyears. I know they put passenger tires on the trucks which doesn't help but 12,000 on a set of tires is horrible.

Thanks for your help!

Default firestone baby

I put le2's on when I purchased the truck I work in the business and can put any tire I want on
so I took of the Michelins off and put on firestones.
you will like them unless you want something more aggressive

Another good tire for thought are General Grabber AT2's. Have had them for about a year now roughly 6k on them and no noticable tire wear. They are rated up to 60k. Ride nice and are fairly quiet for an AT tire.

RSAs are not a high mileage tires but your driving habits or the roads are contributing factor to the wear. my friend has the same tires on his 4x4 lariat Screw with over 32k miles and have over half the tread still remaining. a LT tire will probably last a little longer. did you rotate your tires and watch the inflation? to get decent mileage out of heavy truck, you need to rotates tire every 3-4k miles and criss cross them not just front to rear. any tires you mentioned are good but about 40k miles are about all you can expect. get your frontend checked.

I recently bought cooper AT3 and very happy with them. I only have 1000 miles on them but are good in rain and quiet on the road. Wanted something more aggressive than stock but didn't want the hum of some of the more aggressive tires. No experience with the other tire you listed.

The le2 is an awesome tire I have put them on many many of my customers trucks. I myself went with the Bridgestone dueler a/t revo 2 in a 275/65r18. Its a more aggressive tire but one of the quietest all terrains out there. I took the factory michelins off the day after I bought it, only had 150 miles. but working for Bridgestone I am a bit bias
