New CB Install
Hey guys, I just installed my new Uniden Bearcat 880 in my 2010 F150. I modified the factory lower storage area to fit my CB. It fit perfect, I just wanted a clean install instead of mounting it to the floor or something.

Not very hard to do, both trim pieces on side of center dash need to be removed, there are 4 bolts holding the lower tray....once these have been removed you have to remove the entire center piece, 1 more bolt up top and a couple of connectors it comes right off...then there's the last 1 bolt from the back side that holds the tray on. once removed the entire backside of the tray must be cut off, this allows for the CB to be slid into the opening and secured from the backside.

Another mounting option is center dash in the storage tray.....That rubber mat just lifts out and can be put back down to cover any mounting holes if you get rid of the truck..
just putting it out there..
just putting it out there..

Love this! This is the exact set-up I want to run...I've been looking for mounting locations...this is what I wanted to do, but nobody had any decent pics... how is the fit with that radio side to side? I want as close to factory look as possible... you talk about removing the trim pieces on the side to get to the tray...not sure I understand completly? When you cut off the back of the tray, do you mount the tray back in place? Mount the radio to the tray? How did you wire up for power etc?? also, how did you run you coax, and what entry points?
