I don't think any tire does good on ice except a true studded tire.
Canadian Tire does independent testing of all their tires. They recently scored the KO2 as the top pick for ice performance, with a score of 100%. They attributed this performance to the change in compound.

Whoa that's surprising for an "all-season" tire. The only tires I've seen at CT with 100 ice rating are the Michelin X-Ice lineup. I don't know anything about their testing procedures but to claim that it's ice performance is on par with one of the better dedicated winter tires is surprising. I will consider these for my next set if the Duratrac leaves me wanting in ice this year.

Topsailstar are you still liking these ko2's after you've had them for a little while?

Topsail ~ PLEASE give review on how bad the new KO 2's hold onto and/or sling gravel.

I know the KOs are horrible about little rocks sticking in the tread while on a rock road then as soon as you hit pavement they throw them BAD. Do the KO2s do the same thing?

The only complaint I currently have is how these tires hold onto rocks and throw them. After you drive on gravel it sounds like the truck it being pounded with rocks. I am going to install flaps to try and limit the rocks hitting the truck.

On a positive note, these tires are AMAZING in rain. We have had some powerful rain / thunderstorms here lately. They slice through water like a hot knife in butter. Very happy with the performance and feel so far.

Gas mileage is down about 1.5 MPG not corrected for the size adjustment.

Just got some 275/65/R18's installed on my truck yesterday. First set installed at the local tire shop! So far so good! Absolutely great in the rain! We've had over 4.5-inches of rain in the past 18 hours.

I'm planing to put BFGoodrich KO2 275/55/20 on my Expedition. I'm towing 7500 lbs travel trailer and I was told I will need load range D or E tires. This is the only tire I was able to find. Any opinions would be welcome.
