Default New 2014 STX already have to go to dealership...

Like the title says I bought my 2014 stx 2 weeks ago and with less than 700 miles it's going back to the dealership. Keep getting "left rear door ajar" message and my lights won't go off. Tried the WD-40 trick to no avail. So I've pulled the fuse until I can get to the dealership. I searched and found that people have noticed that the wiring has been breaking? I am just still in shock that my brand new truck is already having a problem. Decided to buy my first brand new vehicle so I wouldn't have to worry about problems I kept having with my old dodge...just my luck..

Has anyone else had this problem this soon after purchase?

It is a man-made vehicle and you have an extremely small problem...

Things like this drive all of us nuts, but 2 things to remember
1. it's a machine consisting of thousands of parts, any of which can fail.
2. that's why they have warranties

Don't fret it. I know its aggravating, but it'll be fixed, and there are far worse things that could've gone wrong, like getting t-boned on the way home from the dealer.
Let us know how you made out

Thanks everyone. I apologize for my rant. Just having a bad day. Thankful for the warranty for sure.

And, every one of those thousands of parts was made by the lowest bidder. Now, THAT is something to consider as you cruise along at 80 mph!
I hope you get your small problem fixed soon and that it stays fixed for you. Got to be frustrating, I know, on a new truck.......

Hahaha. Yeah I am glad that it is minor. Glad that I bought it from a dealership that called and emailed me multiple times to try and get me fixed back up.

I was pretty disappointed that 1 day after I took my new baby home that the driver door speaker was blown. She is still my baby though and the dealer had me in and out in 45 minutes. Rants are allowed, I know the feeling. Good luck with the fix. BTW, I'm not sure that I would call the headlights not turning off "minor" and having to pull a fuse on a brand new 2014 truck at that, but I do agree that getting t-boned on the way home from the dealer would suck WAY more
