Default New 2014 Lariat Price?

Hey guys, first time poster!

One of the local dealers (79424 zip) has some new 2014 Lariats on the lot. They are all priced with a MSRP of 48,890, RWD and screw. They all have the 502A equipment group package.

What would be a fair asking price at this point?

Thanks

Did you check KBB? Without looking myself, I would you think could probably get a 2014 model for around 42k - 44k being that it's RWD.

If one of those trucks appeals, I'd start negotiating using KBB at retail used levels for model and equipment. True, it would have full factory warranty but now 2 model years old. I'd also ask where those trucks have been and insist on documented proof to ensure not held for transit damage. End of series 2014 model line had lucrative FoMoCo incentives after then-new 2015 models arrived at dealers, though best factory incentives were XLT trim vs higher such as Lariat, FX2/4 etc.

So then, I suggest you do your homework in advance, ask the dealer for their "best deal", then negotiate down from there. I'm thinking they'll be motivated to move 'em out. Maybe a win-win situation for all...

I purchased my 14 screw fx4 with every option at the end of April for $38k in DFW. I'd think somewhere around that price should be fair.

Wow, I thought $20k for my used 2013 w/5k miles was to much, dang, my first house did not cost that much.

No offense, but seems high for last years truck. You could easily get this years model for that if you like them. (cough, cough)

I would offer $28k, and leave a number. They are fixing to be 2 yrs old.

$28k is ridiculous. Last year that truck was $10k msrp. So I say $15k off is fair.

Here's cars .com
2 came up within 250 miles of your zip. You can filter the year, model etc.

Just bought a new 2014 off the lot here in DFW at the end of October. Sticker was $52K - Lariat, 4WD, 502A package. Paid $39K. $5K of that was rebates.

The used book prices on the truck still showed it was worth $41K used.

I'm just not crazy about some of the '15 styling knowing I may drive the truck 8 to 10 years I had no problems buying one that had been on the lot 14 months. It's still brand new, drives like a dream and has most options I wanted. Same truck in a '15 was closer to $58K sticker and they wouldn't deal even close to $50 on it. They can keep em.
