Quick update, pic below even though she's a bit dirty...

Tinting done last week..
My bed rails arrived a couple of days ago installed last night, look great I think anyhow...
Got the OEM bug/ wind deflector as well. will try to install but the instructions are sketchy at best.... not sure if it is going to work with the billet grille or not. Luckily the guy who bought my old FX4 is thinking about ordering one as well, if I cant get it to wok on mine at least it wont go to waste.

New OEM bug deflector will not work with aftermarket grill.... stupid.. stupid.. man for not researching properly... thank God for friends with sympathetic wives.... sold about 10 mins after the moron fairy tapped me on the shoulder ....

[QUOTE=ZipperWood;4710489]Just got my brand new 2014 FX4 from the dealer last week. Now time to make it mine.....

The old 2014 FX4 (5.0, Ruby Red, Super cab, 20' stock pereli's, 17K miles) is sold and will be gone next week. - never had an issue with her but wanted to make her a bit more capable for desert driving here in the UAE. Found the brand new (factory miles only- 65) in a showroom in Abu Dhabi and did a bit of number crunching, cost me less to sell my old truck and but the new one than it would for me to have the mods done to the old one and lose the factory warranty.

The new FX4 was imported by the dealer here direct from Ford with Ford approved mods and upgrades that are all under the warranty with Ford.

6.2 Liter engine upgrade
Full Leather instead of the Half & Half
Billet grille
On Board Air Compressor
295/60/20 Nitto Trail Grapplers on new rims
6" ProComp lift
HID front lights
LED rear lights
BakFlip G2 tonneau

Been out in the dunes a couple times already and the difference is huge.... The only stinker is the turning radius.. Going to make a few adjustments this weekend to get some turn back though.

Hoping over the coming months to make a few changes/ mods to make her a little more mine....

Looking at the following items (mostly cosmetic)

1. Window Tint - 1st Priority, an absolute must here... (completed - 5/10/16)
2. Bed Rails - really think they make a truck stand out a bit more (completed - 5/18/16)

3. replacement third light - would love to find a good smoked lens and powdered finish
4. vinyl graphics - need something to break it up a little (not a huge fan of the hockey stick on the old truck) Found a shop here who will do me some customs
5. debating between bull bar and brush guard, depends on whether i go for a custom bumper. can have them made here pretty reasonably
6. replacement emblems - want to get rid of the chrome, keep everything i can matte black
7. antenna - hate the whip
8. bug guard -
9. matte billet fuel door
10. tail light guards
11. Cold Air Intake
12. Upgrade the exhaust
13. performance chip... that 6.2 is a beast on the road, in the dirt and at the pump.
14. (new) replace steps want nerf w/hoops

I imagine the list will grow as i go....

Any Suggestions/ Comments would be greatly appreciated..

Just a couple updates on progress.....

Looks awesome! How did you get your ford emblem to stick to your grille?

It's got threaded posts on the back, slid through screen and screwed tight. Will probably clean it up a bit through. Black the trim and go body color on background

What was different about the Billet grill? I'm wondering, because I also have the OEM deflector, that I bought for my white truck. After staring at it for only about a minute, I took it off. Not a good look for my truck.
If I sell it or give it away, I don't want the next guy having an issue.
If I remember correctly, did it curve into the grill section..? Whereas yours is flat across.

Btw, truck looks great, all tinted now.

It does come over the grill section and the retaining clips will not fit through the mesh screen either.

Just a couple updates on progress.....
Replaced the chrome fx4 badges this morning.. pain in the $#@ to get all the old adhesive off... next purchase will be fender flares, tired of hearing styff bounce off the side of the truck. Luckily no chips yet...

Although it's not tinted like everything else is, I'm still really happy I put an OEM raptor light on.
It's tough to beat the look, of the 3 little led running lights at night. It's also bright when the brakes are applied.
Combine the upgraded gasket and led cargo lights and it's a nice addition.
Plus it matches the grill lights.
I also happen to be one of the lucky ones that had four wires already there. So it was plug-n-play for me.
I may have thought twice, if I had to run power for the running lights. Which really isn't a big job, just a p.i.a....
