Default Need some advice on 13 ecoboost

Hey guy,

I recently dropped my truck off to have a few things looked at for the second time on 3,000 miles and was hoping someone might have had the same issues. According to my dealer, they couldn't replicate the issues in the two hours and 8 miles they drove it.

1. The ac in the truck hasn't been acting right all summer. I will just be driving down the road and it will feel like the compressor kicks off, but it only last for maybe 5-10 seconds and then starts working again. Has anyone else had this problem?

2. About 3,000 miles ago I had a front axle seal go out and most of the fluid leaked out before I got it in. I noticed the leaks on my driveway so I called and the service department told me it was OK to drive until I brought it in a week later, which I really don't believe would be OK but I did it anyway. Now, I still have leaks that have covered my driveway again and I just got off the phone with the service department and they blamed it "residual" oil from my last oil change. Also, every since the seal went out, I get a whining/ grinding sound from the front end that I can feel in the steering wheel but the dealer can't find. I've told them it has to be warm to feel it even tho that doesn't make much sense. Has anyone had this issue?

The truck only has 18k on it but I just can't believe you can run a truck without fluid in the front end and it be fine. If anyone has some advice it would be much appreciated.

Thank!

find a new dealer, there's something wrong and they should be willing to track it down.

Agreed. Sounds like they don't want to help.

Find another dealer

I'm going to do that. The service tech kept telling me today that it's a common problem so I thought I would see what temp the air coming out of the vents was. It's 96 here and the coldest the ac got was 58, which was pretty stuffy in the truck. Anyone checked their truck so I have a comparison. My gfs CTS gets down 38 so I would think my platinum would get somewhere close to that.

In one of the other threads I think someone measured their AC at 46 degrees.

Good advice. Lots of good dealer service centers that deserve your business. Patronize those and share with others the good ones.
