How did the powder coat hold up on install, I just bought the $22 set on ebay and after install I could see the black gone in a line on the side of the socket from tightening with a torque wrench

Like I tightened one down and it makes contact and stays secure but I'm wondering if there is enough contact there. I guess without that big apron like the OEM lugs have I'm nervous. Thanks for your input!

(sorry for the crappy picks, I'm using my Moto X this week. Usually have the wickedly awesome camera on my Lumia)

At first glance at the pic. I almost thought it was smaller but its the way they are both resting on your cover, with the factory having the apron. Did you mic/dial caliper the cone part/contact area of the two lugs to see if they where the same?

I must say, not the greatest after about a year, you be the judge, here's what they look like as of ten minutes ago.. I will say that I have had my tires rotated 3 times since these were installed and an impact gun was used... I have my tires rotated every oil change 3k mi. at the dealership... They are still in better shape than the capped originals... When they get too rusty I'll have the guys at work re-coat them...

Yep, most of my originals looked like that... Mechanic was concerned the socket would get stuck on them... I wanted something that wouldn't swell...

I had dealt with swollen OEM lugs on my 2010 for years 2013-2015 and i was buying replacements when a 21mm socket wouldn't fit over. At the beginning of this winter my tire shop was having difficulty removing my lug nuts with air tools so they had to use a long breaker bar. One of my lug nuts snapped leaving the cone in place with no nut part left, and the shop had to drill out the lug bolt and replace it. Cost me nothing, but i then bought aftermarket lug nuts similar to bertys for use on my steel winter rims, but since the contact cone of those is so small they can't be safely used with the OEM aluminum rims because there is not enough contact between the lug nut and the rim and the rim is too soft. It will likely damage OEM rims over time, but do whatever you want. So i bought some gorillas for use with my OEM rims in the winter, which are solid steel and not a 19mm nut with a 21mm cap over top of it

I have no idea what you just asked lol. The contact area appears the same, maybe slightly more contact with the OEM lug (if you notice the slope being a bit longer).

Ahh thank you for that. Good to know, I might send these back and grab something with a bit more girth to it. And the Gorillas are holding up okay? I keep reading online of quality issues (rust within weeks). I think the McGards are bigger than the procomps also if anybody has experience with them on OEM wheels? Thanks!

Lol, yes. I was asking about the contact area being the same. Sorry for the confusion. Also, I guess I didn't realize you had oem wheels.
