That module is mounted under the hood on mine… at least it looks like the one that's mounted there.

Could you snap a picture for me when you get some time? I figured it went under the hood but wasn't quite sure where. I appreciate the help!

I see two modules on the wiring diagram... not sure if you will have those... some of the wires on the diagram are twisted pairs for data... you will see it on set 1-2 and 3-4 and another set on there... they have a twisted line drawn between them.... don't cut or splice into those!

That wiring is very different then my Amp steps. There is only 1 module and that's under the hood. One set of wires to the driver side, one set of wires to passenger side , one set that goes under and then into the kick panel on passenger side. The main power is tied directly to the battery……. However Ford does it… it's very different then the Amp wiring imo……..

Yep that diagram threw me off. Yet it seems like if I had those modules then the truck is already pre wired from factory. Would just need to plug in the controller and the pigtails going to the steps. That would be great. If it wasn't so damn cold out I'd go check right now.

I looked at mine tonight and the wires come through the grommet just back of the passenger fuse panel then they head back under the door sill towards the back of the cab... the diagrams are for a 2013 as my trucks is that year.

There was a module that looked just like yours above the fuse panel on passenger side, but it was held in place with two screws not clips.

What are the numbers on the module you have? Should be able to find out more with the part number and google
