Default Need help with Bilstein 5100 install (pics)

I had a set of Bilstein 5100 shocks installed and they ride great but I had some rattle (noise) over small bumps so I started looking at them and noticed the top nut is not completely tight. I can't finish tightening the nut because you must hold the bolt from the top with an allen wrench and tighten with a cresent wrench and I am out of room to get pressure on the nut.

I am guessing that either the shock is not install correctly or there is a spacer or washer missing. Can anyone look at the pics and tell what what is wrong?

Maybe a dumb question, but can you get a box-end/open-end wrench on the nut?

if you had an impact gun you could probably tighten it from inside the engine bay... just two "brupta-brupta"s and it'll seat nicely

The problem is that the bolt spins freely so you have to have an Allen wrench on the end of it.

usually an impact can out-spin it... but other than an open ended wrench fitting as suggested already, you may have to take it out to tighten it.... did you have a shop do this? If you did, I'd just make them fix it....
