If you don't do much towing, think large travel trailer or twin axle boat trailer get one with a 5.0 and purchase a tuner.
On the hwy with a custom tune I have easily attained 25mpg @ 60 mph. Here's a pic of cluster on a 24 mile hwy only run. I set cruise control then reset the cluster. Spent a minute pulling safely off the hwy to snap the pic.
2wd, 3:31 and stock tires.
You will never get as good of mileage with a turbo charged engine, turbos force air in and more air requires more fuel.

You can get 20 mpg (hand calculated) easy if you drive sensible. Since you have a 70 mile commute I would assume there isn't a lot of stop&go traffic which will kill your gas mileage.
Can't go wrong with the EB, I am getting another one Friday.

I've had my '11 since April, and I've found the mpg to be spot on with the EPA ratings. Mixed commuting tanks are 17 - 18, unloaded freeway trips 21-22. All said, over 9000 miles, I'm averaging 17.4, which includes about 1100 miles towing my travel trailer (at 11 mpg). I'm quite happy w/ the fuel economy -- it does better than my '10 Suburban, and better than the '06 Duramax before it.
That said, I doubt you'll beat the mpg you got with your Ridgeline in a larger, heavier body on frame pickup -- that just isn't a fair comparison. But you (or at least I) can get close to the Rigeline, and have a ton more capability at the same time (these vehicles aren't in the same ball park as far as towing and hauling go).
Good luck!

The Ridgeline is a nice grocery getter but seriously, this isn't apples to apples comparison .The F150 could tow 2-1/2 of those on a trailer. Where the Honda, well it gets good gas mileage? The F150 gets excellent mileage for a full size multipurpose "truck".
