I have done a lot of looking around and can't find a good answer. I am wanting to replace the factory (joke) subwoofer for a after market one. On my last truck i had a jl 1000/1 with a W6 so i know what good bass sounds like an this is far from enjoyable.

So what i am asking is i would like some help finding a box that will fit under the seat that wont take up all the room, a good subwoofer that will put out plenty of bass to match music, a good amp to power the sub, an what ever i would need to go from the speaker wires that go into the factory sub to a rca for the new amp.

If it's the Sony 700W sub, try stuffing it with polyfill. It makes a huge difference. If you still don't like the sound, you should check the Audio subforum in the Aftermarket forum.

I already did that but i need more power! hah ive got two 10" subs and a box picked out. just need an amp and line level.

1) go to wal-fart or whatever store in your area that sells the polyester pillow filling and buy a bag for a buck or 2.
2) Take out your 700w subwoofer
3) Open it up (don't forget the back screw)
4) Take out the trash fill they stuffed in there
5) Stuff with a few handfuls of polyfill. It shouldn't be tight, but it should be full.
6) Reinstall everything
7) Enjoy deeper, cleaner bass.

If you want more, you gotta go custom.

There's lots of threads in the Audio forum on building custom boxes as well as bought packages that fit.

Go on supercrewsound.com and get the dual 10's or 12's box and put in two alpine type r shallow mounts. This will sound amazing, expensive though. And you will need a good amp and a linedriver like the lc6xi

I tried the polyfill trick yesterday and it does make a noticeable difference. Well worth the $2.50 and 10 minutes it took. It still isn't earth shaking but it is much better. That is why I love forums like these, I would have never thought to do that on my own. Give it a try.
