We are retired and travel quite a bit in unfamiliar areas. We bought the truck to pull a new TT with. Our previous tow vehicle had Nav and it helped us immensely with our travels. So we would say it's worth it if you think you will be using it (BTW the backup camera in the nav window is pretty kewl!)

I ordered my 2010 Lariat with Nav ($2430) and a moonroof ($995), so Ford gave me a $1000 credit on the package.
So, did I get the moonroof free, or did I get $500 off the Nav and $500 off the moonroof?
See my dilemma? LOL
It is called the Premium Package Discount, UO9.
I did not really require the moonroof, but for free, why not?
So, if you get the package, the Nav does not seem as pricey, and you can look at the screen by the light of the moon.

I live in Florida where it rains alot. I'll open the slider, not the glass inself, when its raining. I think its the bees knees, very cool, watching the rain fall from above, while staying dry 8).
good luck and make sure you post lotsa pics when you git her

Go buy a Tom Tom for $130. All in what you need. I travel locally most of the time. I can count on a fork the number of times I'm needed Nav. in the past 5 years.

All Hat No Cattle, I got the same thing on my 2009. I just say I got the moonroof for free...but I see what you're saying. Another thing I like about the Nav system, as White Castle and healthi said, is having the backup camera in that huge screen, rather than in the corner of your mirror. And, the Sirius Travel Link is awesome...you can see what's on at every movie theater in every town and the time it's playing. You find one you like, click on that theatre, and the Nav will take you right to it. If you're not sure where you started, but you want to get back there, you can use the "Breadcrumbs" feature. You can see all the scores of all sports at the click of a button. And, for example, for baseball it will tell you the inning and the score. You can see the weather radar at any given time...and with the thunderstorms we have in this part of the country, that is a great feature. And then another thing I like is being able to load my own photos and see them instead of the "Ford" logo on the screen. So, as I mentioned in an earlier post...it is way more than just a Navigation system. And, once you see it and use it, compared to other Nav systems in other vehicles I've owned, it is definitely worth every penny of the price.

pass-thru, of course it's free for the first six months...after that it's $5.99 a month. And, I forgot to even mention about the gas prices page. You go to Fuel Prices screen and all the nearest stations come up showing how much the fuel is. You can also select price and it will sort by price. Another thing cool about it, is if you live in a big city (which I don't) it will show you the traffic, if there are any wrecks, and the best way to go to avoid the traffic. And, as of now, Ford is the only company offering Sirius Travel Link.
Here's a link showing it:
And, here's a Sync link:
Personally, I LOVE THEM BOTH!! They're just a couple of reasons this 2009 F-150 King Ranch is the best vehicle I've ever owned...period.
