Default Nav upgrade

I purchased a 2014 F-150 Lariet with the eco boost engine back in December. I really love the truck. The handling is great, power is phenomenal for a little 6!
When I bought the truck the dealer said I had the Lariet 501a package and the Nav package only came with the 502 package. I asked if it could be upgraded and he said they would check and would only charge me at dealer cost for the upgrade.
This is now 3 months later. The dealer keeps saying Ford will not tell them how to do the upgrade and the cannot help me. I feel pretty much forgotten on this.
My question to the group is: Can this be upgraded (SD card, USB) or am I stuck. I really don't want a Garmin sticking up on the dash.

Thanks

I'd say the dealer owes you a different truck if they can't put the Nav system in the one you have currently.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want to pay for the nav when sync has a gps system built in? If you look in your App Store for sync destinations you can send the directions to where you want to go to your truck from your phone. I use it all the time. Turn by turn directions come up on your screen. It doesn't have the map on there but I think it works really well for being free.

I went into the app section and cannot get anything there. I can get latitude and longitude to show up but that is all.
I will go back to the dealer and raise cain this time.

Nav can be added if you already have MyTouch. It's not as simple as adding an SD card, it also needs a module. We do it at our Ford dealer for $1799 installed (Canadian).

I had the same experience with my FX4 and now I'm in the same boat d you. I don't know about you, but I don't want to have to pay $1800 (Canadian or otherwise) for something I was promised when making the deal. Any info you find would be greatly appreciated.
