Haha the flash just LIT them up. A few of the big marks was when I was trying too see if you could swip or drag vs the scroll bars. Definitely gets prints worse than my carpc screen. That is only 2 days too.

MFT home screen just looks too much like a color etch-a-sketch to me and I've yet to run across a WOW feature on my wife's Edge MFT that I don't have on my Sony Nav.

Exactly. I have the older unit in my 2012 f150 And the MFT in my 2013 SHO. The older system is better. The best looking nav interface I have ever scene.

I guess you havent seen too many lately! lol

I have a Kenwood DD HU with Garmin Nav and it is far better looking than that stuff. That looks like an 80's Tandy.

Fair point. Was really referring to OEM navs. I have the Kenwood Excelon 9980 or some such in my wife's Yukon and my challenger and yes the garmin is a better interface. I just wish garmin would let you control more defaults on their systems.

Since I haven't owned either unit, I thought the MFT was pretty cool. Nothing to compare it to but the Nav unit in a GM car I own. Man, that one is crap.

Also, here's a good one. I have no idea if this is true. I was told by the salesman that the MFT Nav. unit in the new F-150 will automatically update through google maps with no charge to the customer. Duh, I don't know...do any of you?

We have the MFT in the wife’s 2012 Edge and I have the Sony Navi in my 2011 Raptor. I like the Sony Navi better. The MFT is slow, like it needs more RAM, the HDD Sony Navi is more responsive. The only thing I really like in the MTF is the UI of the maps.

Haha. Wife actually. I was visiting her for lunch and got there early (Too excited to go for a drive). Finally had good indirect light to take a picture w/o the flash so I found a way to waste 5 minutes posting a pic.

What I don't understand is that this system is a program. Why can't Ford send out a program update to keep all year models running the same?

When mine goes out of warranty I am having my IT guy look @ this system & see what can be unlocked, upgraded or added too.
