What a week!!!
The lease on my beloved 2011 Ecoboost was almost up, and I had a decision to make. Keep my flawless truck of 3 yrs old, or get a new one.
Friday - Got to have a VERY VERY extended test drive of the 2014 SVT Raptor. Man, is that a fun truck!! Only problem is my 30' TT weighs around 8500 lbs loaded, so unfortunately, the fun came to an end. Also, the MPG's were 9.5... Probably had to do with my heavy right foot.
Monday - Decision time (told ya it was a very very extended test drive). To play it safe, there were two more trucks I seriously considered prior to my lease ending. Truck 1 - An F-250 Platiinum diesel. Truck 2 - An F-15- FX4 Ecoboost with the 6.5' bed (my 2011 has the 5.5' bed and only a 26 gallon fuel tank).
Drove the Superduty first. Absolutely fell in love. Had the whole family and they fell in love too. But, the price. Ouch!! Do-able, yes. But, I was having my doubts. Just wasn't sure we needed that much truck, yet.
Drove the FX4. Absolutely loved it, too. I've been driving Livernois-tuned for about 2 yrs. Man, what a difference driving a stock one!!
Long story short. I was having a hard time deciding. One truck would likely be the last I'd ever need, and the other I'd had my eye on since last year.
And the winner was....
The FX4!!!
Yes, the superduty is the king of trucks. But, I've really grown to love the ecoboost motor. Plus, this truck has the things I wish my 2011 had (Navigation, ELD, and a 36 gallon fuel tank). Got a great deal, and couldn't be happier.
I'll post pics soon. I spent the whole day having my rear airbags, boost gauge, and snugtop taken off (re-using the airbags and boost gauge, and having the Livernois re-programmed for my new truck).

I picked up a 13. Had only5 miles on it.
Now, it's time to pick a leveling kit. On my 11, I went with the Rough Country 2.5" leveling kit with an extra 1" block in the rear. I felt that my ride quality suffered a bit. Also, the passenger-side spacer apparently cracked during my last trip from CA to CO.
I'm thinking of going with the Pro Comp 2" leveling kit with no extra rear block since I will be reinstalling my rear air bags. I also like that the Pro Comp has a lifetime warranty.
