My Dog's Figured Out How to Open the Windows
I have a small dog that loves to ride in my 2009 Platinum F150. Most of the time he either rides up on my left shoulder or he stands up on the driver's armrest with his front paws on the dash board to look out. He keeps stepping on window controls and he's starting to figure out what they do. Does anyone out there have an idea on how to keep him from stepping on those buttons? Other than leaving him at home, that is.
I've thought of a plastic plate or something but it seems like it'd probably just be more trouble than it's worth trying to keep it in place. I suppose it's too much to hope that someone sells a plate that clips into place and looks good too.

I had a Jack Russell that used to do that in one of my older trucks. They have seatbelts for dogs that you hook into the existing system so the dog doesn't go out the window. I cannot remember where I got mine so sorry for no link.
If the dog starts to learn how to drive the truck then your issues are only beginning....

i agree, get your dog a harness and secure him to the passenger seat or put him the back seat. its very unsafe for him to be jumping around in your lap as you drive 70 mph down the interstate. my dogs sit in the back seat in a hammock type sling that blocks them from coming up front. ofcourse if my dog sat on my shoulder id have some serious back problems, he weighs 85 lbs and the girl weighs 65lbs. you can get these at any petco or petsmart. better safe than sorry.
