When all else fails I would get inside the bed and have someone run a water hose over the outside of the cover and see where it leaks. Then address the problem. I wouldn't think it would take a rocket scientist to figure it out.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm going to take it apart tomorrow to check the rails and make sure nothing is twisted or bowed or anything. I'm also going to try some clear silicone ... something that if I need to clean it up that I will be able to.

I found four minor leak sources in my Bakflip F1.in each corner in the front of the bed by the cab,I used black silicone caulk.The screws that hold the struts on each side of the rails,these are the struts that hold the Bakflip up against the cab are crudely installed causing a leak point that allows water to drain from the rail gutter.These were minor leaks not what would cause 1 1/2 inches of water in the bed.Good luck

Hey guys, I have a Bakflip HD thats about a year and half old. I too had leaks that I deemed excessive. I put up with it for a while, but it got worse. I noticed the hingepoint seals we're shrinking. I didn't realize my bed cover was under warranty for two years. To my surprise, I called Lauren @ Bakflip, and they were very cool about it and sent me a replacement bed cover with upgraded hingepoint seals (that don't leak) and a new seal that goes along the length of the front rail of the bed (it didn't originally come with that). They also redesigned the latch releases (the wire is much easier to access now!) The latches also have a smoother latching motion, that doesn't require you to sometimes slam the damn thing in place. I also noticed they have rivets on the plastic mount plates (my original one was glued). I am much happier with my bed cover now. This is the product I should have gotten to begin with, and best of all, not a drop of water gets in now!

I just recently helped a friend of mine put his in and the only problem that he was having was the outside seal wasn't completely sealed along the plastic side caps. Broke out a heat gun and ran it across the rubber seals along the side enough to make them malleable and fit like a glove after that. Seemed to have been the problem with the only leak he had on his back flip.

Question, just got a G2 for my 2011 Supercrew. Did you take the bed liner out first to install the tubes? I kept pinching the hoses when I put it back on.
