Default MPG all over the map after oil change.

I brought my 2014 5.0 in for a sticker and oil change yesterday and on the way home from the dealer I noticed the MPG reading kept creeping up then started to go up and down ranging from ~19.0 MPG to 22.0 MPG. Before I brought it in for the oil change it was rock steady at 19.0 MPG. Has anyone else see this? I just hope the tech didn’t screw something up with the computer.

Thanks,

did you just fill up the tank? no "computer" touching should have been done for a simple oil change.

No I did not add any gas, just an oil change and sticker.

Thanks,
The AVG MPG computer was reset. It'll eventually stop moving as often once you get some miles on that reset.

They fat fingered the reset button. After an oil change, the tech resets the oil life meter. If they hold it down too long, they set your avg mpg and trip meters back to zero again.

It'll settle down again.
