Default 4 wheel parts info?

I'm considering dropping my truck off at 4 wheel parts for a lift and wheel/tire install. 6" pro comp lift, 20X10 wheels, and 35/12.50/20 tires. Has anyone had experience with them? Any issues or concerns? What about speedo being off? Do they recalibrate that? TPMS sensors? Never had a lifted truck before, so I am a little concerned about it; and it is a lot of money! My truck is a 2013, XLT, Crew, 4X4 Off Road, 5.0. Thanks for any info.

The dealership I work for used to send them trucks to upfit. Never had any issues except I'm not big on procomp. Truck came with a hypertech speedo calibrator and tpms sensors installed. They also came with a 5 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty.

Why not procomp? Would you recommend a different brand?

I sound like a hypocrite now but I think a full shock for the lift is better than the spacer.

I can't stand 4 Wheel parts. If I were you, I would shop around for the kit you are interested in. Research the kit you want, look for the best prices and find a good shop in your area that will install it for a good price and won't bend you over.

I went to my local Truck and Jeep Fest which is put on by my local 4 Wheel parts where they have reps from a lot of retailers like Rancho, Pro Comp, General Tire e.t.c. They quoted me $2900 for the lift and install. That is absolute bat****** crazy. They are there to just bend you over. Maybe that is just my local 4WP but I will only shop there if necessary. I'm picking up the Rancho 4in Lift from Stage 3 for $1800, and having it installed for $550. With the $400 rebate, it puts me at around 2k for the kit and install. Saved me 900.

I dislike 4 Wheel Parts as well. No matter what location I've been in, it seems that their employees aren't interested in 2" leveling kits and the like. It doesn't impress them unless it's a 12" lift on 40's and they will talk down to you and your leveling kit. When it comes time to have mine done, I'm going with a small local shop who would be happy to have the business.

The guy that is the so called "regional manager" for my area said he was giving me the "best price". I chuckled a bit.

What about McGaughy's? I found a local shop that will install their 6.5" lift, wheels, tires, recalibrate the speedo for 1K less than 4wheelparts. Don't know much about lift kits though.

I have also had a bad experience with 4wheelparts. I just recently bought a set of bfgoodrich tires, procomp wheels and a leveling kit from them. They quoted me nearly $500 to have everything installed! That's insane! I installed the leveling kit myself, went to a local tire shop and paid $150 with balance and alignment. I will also only buy parts from them when necessary.
