Default Motor Trend 2014 overall sales

Just thumbing through my new Motor Trend and came across a chart for 2014 vehicle(cars and Trucks)sales in the USA ...... Ford F series trucks were Number #1 in overall sales with 753,851 .... the Siverado and Ram were a ways behind at 2nd and 3rd ..... No wonder I see so many F150 trucks around nowadays ..... Use to be 3 :1 Chevy in Ca but not anymore Some have finally seen the light

Default Motor Trend 2014 overall sales

That doesn't surprise me one bit, to be honest.
Never before, have I seen so many so many folks (myself included) ****** up, the last year of a design that was essentially 10 years old, with an all new truck 3 months away.
From what I've seen over the past 25 years, most are a little leary with a first year truck, so it seems people give it another year. If they can.
I think the new headlights on the 13/14's helped with that decision, somewhat.
Normally I would have a little envy for the ones in the new body, but not this time. I f-ing love my truck. At least for two more years anyways....

So much for MT's truck of the year award. Shows how little weight that trophy carries.

The funny thing is, all the auto magazines keep giving GM & Dodge the awards every year! This doesn't line up with consumer demand.....

It's because it's their award, not the public's award.

They can't award the same truck 2 years in a row and they can only award each truck one time unless they make a significant change to it like add a new engine or body style. Or else the F150 would get it every year!

Nice post! I think the 09 to 14 years are by far the most attractive F150 Ford has ever had...probably along with readability and customer satisfaction. I can't say one thing bad about my 2012 FX4...other than I wish they would have put a fold down armrest in the rear seat like the Lariat / Platinum crew cab.

I like the 70's models. I had a 77 F250 and it was one of my favorites.

You'd never know that driving around central CA. Here silverados outnumber all other trucks AT LEAST 5 to 1.
And there are 50 new 2015 silverados here for every one 2015 f150 and that's not an exaggeration.
In fact it may be even more lopsided than that.
