Default Mesh grill owners

Anyone have an aftermarket mesh type grill for their truck that they mounted the FORD emblem to the center of? Looking for tips on how it was done. (Mine is a 13, but I know it is a popular grill for the 04-08 crowd as well.)

Did you just buy a flat 9'' emblem? How did you attach it?

(Saw your thread on the grill and I ordered the same one, like I said I would in your thread...hehe)

I also have a '13. Mine originally came the C clamp grill. I pried the emblem out of the grill very carefully as not to break the posts that are attached to the emblem. There are a total of three posts. One on each end and a blue one in the middle. The blue one in the middle was keeping me from lining up the emblem straight on the mesh grille so I cut it off. After that just push the emblem onto the grille and reattach the nuts to hold it in place.

I'll take another pic or two for you in the morning that might help better explain the process.

Cool. Appreciate it.

I ordered another emblem from eBay, since I will likely end up selling my OEM grille with the original still on it.

So here's a couple more pics. Hopefully this helps a little more.

That's pretty much what I was hoping for. Thanks again.

Now just need to get the grill and get it PTM.

Nice pics guys....I did the same thing....I thought it really brought out the SmittyBuilt Grill and looked much different than the cookie cutter M1 grills!
