Default Maximum recommended level kit lift height for 2wd

Hi all.....i know the max recommended front level strut spacer on an f150 is 2.5 inches. My question is does this mean i can put a 4" strut spacer on a 2wd truck since it sits 1.5 inches lower than a 4x4. So 2.5" + 1.5"= 4"....is my logic flawed....thanks to anyone who can help me

keep it to 2.5" front end lift max, regardless of how you accomplish it.
